Great location. Recommended by family members who stayed previously. Very clean, extremely courteous staff, lovely breakfast, close parking at reasonable rates a bonus. Would gladly stay again. Receptionist Cynthia particularly welcoming and helpful.
The location is central and staff friendly.
Our room was tatty and needed a makeover. I would not stay here again.
I like the breakfast, it was nice and tasty
The water was cold and the heating were not working. We had not hot shower because the boiler was out of order.
excellent location and spacious and comfortable rooms
no information in room re hotel e.g restaurant info etc.
Staff were nice and friendly, which is a mild comfort when you haven't slept.
- Didn't sleep much either night. The first night some drunks kept us awake from 5 to 6:15 am, they stopped after the porter talked to them, this took him and hour to do. I had to ring four times, just cause the crowd next door didn't answer their phone and pretended to be quiet. - The second night a delivery truck outside made a loud noise from 5:30 to 6:30 am, which no amount of double glazing could stop from being very loud. - We were told the parking would be "sorted out", that means after we checked out we were charged €10 a night at the car park. You just assume a pricey hotel will have FREE parking.
the staff were excellent and very helpful with all our requests. For example when the internet in our room didnt work they promptly came and shifted us to another room where it did.
Excellent service by every member of the staff that we encountered. Clean, comfortable room. We ate several meals at the hotel, the food was also excellent.
Reception staff was helpful, especially Paul. Very warm welcome indeed. Room good size, clean. Bathroom big enough for me. Location, location, location. Next to the bus station and city center.
Avoid the restaurant, nothing spectacular you can get better food for same price next door. Service is poor and not organized. Breakfast is chaotic, had to wait for 20 minutes to be offered a cup of coffee. Worse service of the year award in hotel breakfast category from me.
location, rooms were very nice, good layout and design.
The lady on the reception was very helpful; she advised on bars and restaurants to go to as well as booking us a day trip and taxis. We also were very impressed with the room itself and the breakfast.
The staff could not have been more helpful. All day breakfasts are a great idea. Very reasonable when compared to similar hotels in Galway. Ideal location for a city break weekend. I dont often leave reviews, but there is little to fault in the Forster Court Hotel!
This is a lovely hotel, very clean, modern and cheerful. Staff were lovely and very efficent. Rooms were spotless and the location is just ideal to hit all the hot spots in galway. We went to the rugby match and it was just a short walk up college road. Breakfast was just fantastic, such a lovely selection and the breakfast itself was cooked fresh. My boyfriend had a Full Irish, I had toast and scrambled eggs, also not many places serve porraige and enjoyed it. Another plus is breakfast is served up until 12pm, this is very unusal but an excellent service. Well done.
Very limited choice on the the bar food, we were looking for meat, potatoes veg etc and there wasnt anything like that on the menu. Just more snakes, burgers chips, pastas etc.
Comfortable, proximity to centre of city
Noise level on street when trying to sleep, lack of parking
Very nice hotel. Lobby a bit off-putting (somewhat dark) but my room was very nice. Bed very comfortable. Excellent location. Around the corner from the lovely new Galway bus station.
Everything was nice.
Staff were than accommodating and friendly to chat with. Room was serviced at 12
Staff were more than accommodating and friendly to chat with . Room was serviced each morning at 12 and left perfect. Location was excellent and from my look at other hotels in the same area forsters prices were the best on offer (db room). And also staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of city and county. Couldn have asked for more.
